question of panamericanprincess : Why is the married after 4 months, I've just found out today that "traditional" you should wear your wedding ring "closest to your heart" and then the engagement ring second. I do not understand. Has not the start of the union with the promise of the procedure? why isn't the first engagement ring? The first time I actually saw how other people helped her and it's true. The wedding ring is first. I've got a set and to me it looks better with the engagement ring first and not to mention, the day when I married, I wore my engagement ring and my husband just slid on the band. Well today I adjust the switch to the other married women in my job. Sigh. Can someone explain this to me? And when the switch is to be made, if on your wedding day you wear your engagement ring and your husband slides on the band during the ceremony? I know it can not be at the ceremony or do you actually do not wear your engagement ring in the ceremony. Inch of the Weird USAerster marriage and hopefully the last. I was not aware of this but as I try, traditional and adapt it. I think I'll just keep it like everyone else. I wish I would have found out sooner. At one point in tim people do not get engagment rings ... they got wedding rings .. and therefore, the tradition of wearing your wedding ring came closest to your heart .. its not a strange custom in the United States. engagment rings are simply stored away for jewlery to make more money
