How much is appropriate engagement ring for evaluation?

They said an assessment would run $ 100 - $ 200 depending on the size of the ring, but they could do it immediately. I called another jeweler and it is estimated today at $ 175 and would keep them overnight. What is a reasonable price to have an engagement ring appraised for insurance purposes?
