question of Walker : What is the difference in an engagement ring over any other ring I am looking to buy an engagement ring, but after I found a few local jewelers and chafing in the still thoroughly confused . absolutely no difference in the ring design or type. What makes it an engagement ring is when it is accompanied by a proposal!
