question by Just Me : Turn off my engagement ring When my husband and I hired five years ago, took it set a wedding that we could afford. We struggled big time, and my total cost of both my engagement ring and wedding band was only around 60 dollars. I did not care how big the ring was, I just wanted to heiraten.Wir married for almost over 4 years now and we are much more established. My husband decided to give me a new ring for Valentine's Day. We chose one that is simply wonderful and much larger than my Verlobungsring. Also my husband asked me this morning if I wanted to start wearing the new ring to replace my engagement ring. I told him that I wanted to wear just on my right hand instead. He said that he was not offended if I have to be from the engagement ring and wore the other. His words: "You shall bear the greater on the ring finger with your wedding ring who have more on the other hand is stupid .." Even if he be not offended, says, I feel, what do I do torn. For me my engagement ring is the moment that we decided to spend lives together. It is much more than just a ring .... the meaning behind it really means a lot. He does not understand why I am so torn about this. He says only wear the new ring and put it on ... That I will keep still, but just not wearing them. I have a feeling I could take over materialism in a way am. I know it sounds silly but even if he says that he not be offended, I do not want to hurt his feelings if I take this one off. As I do not want him to think that these cheap and only slightly larger and replaced by something shiny wurde.Irgendwelche opinions? Am I just ridiculous and overly emotional about anything? Should I just wear the new ring, and if I in my old jewelry box? My mother started with a small ring, and my father, on her 30th Bought her wedding day a 3-carat sparkler, and she wears it on her left ring finger now ...... So I think this is a normal thing, "upgrade"? I do not just want to hurt my husband Best Answer. Wed reply astutewoman
