question by Kirsten S : Tattoo-Drug Recovery I know someone who is not married or in a relationship and they got a tattoo on her ring finger of her left hand, where you usually would wear a wedding band / engagement ring. They have recently recovered in a very difficult time with drug addiction and is currently away from the addiction. * * what? no. I highly doubt it. I have tattooed my ring finger, and I was not married and so when I got it. I have to remind me to stay strong and not settle for second best. Chances are your friend has its own meaning, but no, it has nothing to do with addiction or recovery in general. It can be your friend, but as a whole is not.
