question of Fionnabhair ╰ ☆ ╮ : What is the current practice with engagement and wedding rings I've heard a lot about what is meant to be done, but never engaged or having being married and both my parents lose their engagement rings and my father's wedding ring too, they are not good to ask about it, I've heard it was an engagement ring that traditionally set in diamonds and it is on the right hand and a wedding ring is a simple gold band and sat on the left ... but I'm sure I saw somewhere falsch.Ist the practice varies between countries and / or cultures or today, it's more a personal preference, which Best Answer: Wed Answer by Erin B
