Custom wedding rings?

But the type of ring I do not get with my commitment solitare.Hat someone used her engagement ring to make her wedding ring? As in, you have the diamond in your engagement ring in your wedding ring spot and melt / or the golden ring for your wedding band to use only an idea - I've never heard it done? well yeah, it is customary to remove a stone from one setting and put it in another person to do that all the time. but how to melt a ring to make another, it would probably cost as much to buy a whole new ring.
