What happened with expensive wedding rings?

question of slaarwalhz : What is with expensive wedding rings Why do people think they need a 20 thousand dollar ring. I could care less if it was a piece of string. I married my husband, not my ring. "It is a symbol of love. Love knows no price", it should cost for the ring as much as you want it ... Anyway, I think you marry someone for love, and a ring is only a symbol. And I've never understood why people love the really expensive. Even if I could afford a 50 thousand dollar ring I'd rather have a 200 dollar ring. Heck would I have a 25c Candy Machine ring. I just do not understand why waste the money on a ring. It is not like the more expensive the more it loves you. I was just a tattoo of a ring so I never lose. lol? I just do not understand. Someone explain why a more expensive ring is better than a cheaper? Even if I had all the money in the world I would still choose a cheap ring. I am not materialistic in this way. I think the ring is nothing compared to my love for my husband. I chose my ring, it was cheap, but cheap does not look into the costs. I think there is no point in spending so viel.Das the other thing, if I million I would not buy an expensive car.
